Section of archeology -contains finds from The Stone Age to The middle age discovered during archeological works, area and medical researches conducted on the terrain of Prudnik's and Krapkowice's lands. For special attention deserve finds from Dyrmar and Strzebinów(now days the district of Gogolin) Orientating from Sorbian culture. Extraordinarily valuable are items excavated from caster's grave in Strzebinowo, which contain molds of bronze ornamentation. To the most recent acquisitions of archeology department belongs findings from archeological works conducted on the grounds of XIII century's Prudnik's castle.
Section of artistry and history – assembles widely interpreted antiques documenting local history, craftsmanship and items related with social and religious life. Part of the this department are inter alia, old printers, guild documents ,crafts (in it tin wares, guild chests etc.),military, sacral antiques or materials concerning plebiscite on upper Silesia and Polish association in Germany. To most valuable exhibit belong : Władysław Opolczyk's parchment from 1383, Emperor Ferdynand II's parchment from 1561, Bible in polish released Kraków 1577 and portlal from shoemaker's house 1507.
Section of ethnography - collects antiques that portray the former lives of Prudnik's and Silesia's residents. Numerous household equipments and rural clothes from skirmishes of Prudnik reflects mood of old chamber. Rich collection of work equipment ,which cant be found in modern houses you can see on the exposition about: agriculture, carpentry, wheelwright, and processing of flax. The tast of this department is documenting and presenting Folk culture of Prudnik's population, both before the Second World War as well as after it.
Section of art - Assembles the artworks of modern artists from bothour country and other countries. To the most rich collections belong Hanna Bakuła's works. Bakuła is polish painter, writer and publicist. In our museum we have several dozens oily, crayon and watercolor paintings of this famous artist. Next to Hanna we should mention about others artist ,whose works can be found in Prudnik's museum: Krzysztof Pasztuła, Lidia Sztwietnia, Edward Szczapow, Jerzy Kapłański, Jan Koloczek, Mieczysław Trepa, Bolesław Polnar, Wit Pichurski, Krystyna and Jerzy Góra, Charlotte McGinnis, Krystyna Sobczak, Piotr Myszyński, Stanisław Petertil, Marek Paprocki, Stanisław Próchnicki, Piotr Romiński, Michał Cuber, Marian Bietkowski, Stanisław Kajuk, Urszula Serafin - Noga, Jolanta Tacakiewicz, Albert Strzewiczek, Alojzy Wierzgoń, Christine Wadlewski, Janina Jarosz - Walczak, Joanna Brześcińska, Reinhard Bultmann.
Section of weaver traditions – Has been created in 2011 as the result of opening two years prior The Centre of weaver traditions which is division of Prudnik's grounds museum. The task of this section is collection of items related with rich Weaver tradition in Prudnik , mostly thanks to S.Fränks later industrial cotton factory “Frotex”.A lot of importance took famillies of Fränkls and Pinks( owners of linen factory in Prudnik before war). Collections dedicated to manufacturers are being used in developing right now in permanent exhibition about this influential and well deseved family in The Centre of Weavers tradition's building.
